Citizens Bank announced that Citizens Commercial Banking led a new credit facility for Apogee Telecom, a provider of data and video services to on-campus student housing communities serving over 430 colleges and universities located in 46 states. Citizens served as Sole Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent.
“Colleges and universities recognize the growing importance of managed network services as a foundational component to help make higher education more affordable, accessible, and personalized,” said Charles Brady, CEO of Apogee. “Through our acquisitions of Campus Televideo and OrcaTV, we continue to foster technology’s importance in the overall campus experience. This credit facility will enable Apogee to increase our investment in our client’s technology infrastructure and help colleges and universities finance innovation that will drive student recruitment and retention. By partnering with Citizens, we are positioned well to continue our growth strategy and enhance our service offerings to better meet the needs of the higher education community.”
“Providing flexible growth capital solutions for clients such as Apogee is just one of the many ways that Citizens delivers value for clients at every stage of their business life cycle,” said Battle Moore, Head of Citizens’ Communications Services banking team. “We work hard to identify innovative industry leaders and, with this recent injection of capital, Apogee can expand its position as a higher education technology leader.”
