Santander Bank has appointed Ellen Marshall to Regional Head of Middle Market for New York and New Jersey in its Commercial Banking division. In this role, Marshall is responsible for managing the Bank’s middle market business in Manhattan, Long Island and New Jersey.
Marshall brings more than 30 years of commercial banking experience in these markets to Santander. Since 2009 she worked at Capital One as its regional market executive for the New York metropolitan area. Before that, she was managing director for information services and technology at CIT Group. She was formerly the New Jersey commercial market president at Santander, formerly Sovereign Bank, from 2002 to 2007.
In her new role Marshall will report to Bob Rubino, Co-President and Head of Commercial Banking at Santander Bank.
"Ellen’s extensive commercial banking experience and knowledge of serving middle market companies will help to enhance our position in the marketplace. We’ve made significant investments in our Commercial Banking division by strengthening our teams and product offerings to better serve our clients and Ellen’s appointment is part of our strategy to build upon the progress we’ve made to grow this important business,” Rubino said.
