Hitachi Capital America Corp.’s Mark Duncan has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager of the company’s commercial finance business, and will lead all major corporate development initiatives.
In his newly expanded role, Duncan will lead Hitachi Capital America’s strategic planning, and have the responsibility of growing the company’s core businesses across North America via acquisitions, equity investments and/or partnerships. He will continue to oversee the company’s five commercial finance divisions: Business Finance, Structured Finance, Trade Finance, Vendor Finance, and Funding and Portfolio Services.

Duncan joined Hitachi Capital America in 2014 as the General Manager of Structured Finance and was later promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Finance. He was previously with GE Capital, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, with the last being Managing Director of Corporate Development, where he helped grow the company’s corporate finance business through acquisitions, joint ventures, and investments through the sourcing, structuring, negotiating, closing and integration of strategic transactions.
