Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced that Jeffrey Huddleston has joined as a Managing Director in the firm’s Houston office. Huddleston specializes in advising distressed companies, lenders and creditors on both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and turnarounds.
With more than 20 years of restructuring and distressed transaction experience, Huddleston’s primary areas of concentration include interim management, restructuring, business plan and strategy development, liquidity management, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and analysis of creditor recoveries. In addition, he has extensive experience across the energy spectrum, including E&P, oilfield services, power, midstream, refining and marketing.

Huddleston’s notable assignments include serving as CFO of Saratoga Resources, financial adviser to the unsecured creditors committee of C&J Energy Services, financial adviser to Buccaneer Resources, financial adviser to Delta Petroleum, financial adviser to the unsecured creditors committee of LINN Energy and financial adviser to the unsecured creditors committee of Green Field Energy Services.
Before joining A&M, Huddleston was a Managing Director at Conway MacKenzie and helped start their energy advisory practice in Houston. Prior to that, he led the strategic planning groups for two large publicly held companies. Mr. Huddleston was also previously employed at A&M in the Houston restructuring group.
Huddleston started his career in the Global Energy Corporate Finance and Economic and Financial Consulting groups at Arthur Andersen. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Houston. He holds both the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designations.
