Steven Gold, president and CEO of Allied Financial Corporation has been named the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) 2018 Leadership Award Recipient, honoring his leadership in the Asset-based Lending and Factoring Industry. Steven will be presented the award on September 20 at the CFA 40 Under 40 Awards celebration at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.
He is only the second recipient of this prestigious award.
Gold has been in the commercial finance industry for over 20 years. He began his career with Kaye Insurance Associates in New York City before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. In 2003 he founded Allied Financial Corporation. Prior to Allied Financial, he was senior vice president of a national commercial finance where he was a top producer and co-managed the largest portfolio of the company.
He has successfully exhibited his leadership in various roles with Commercial Finance Association (CFA.) In addition to serving as a CFA director since 2004 and on the CFA Executive Committee since 2005, he served as chair for the 2016 CFA Annual Convention Committee and as co-chair in 2015. Gold has served as the chair of the CFA Chapter Focus Committee for seven years and has been instrumental in the growth of the chapter network. He is the longest-tenured Board Member of the CFA Atlanta Chapter—20 years—three of which he served as President.
