AlixPartners announced that corporate and financial investigations specialist Gavin Williamson has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Investigations, Disputes & Risk practice. He is based in AlixPartners’ London office.
Williamson specializes in complex, multi-jurisdictional fraud and corruption investigations, and has 19 years’ experience in forensic accounting, asset-tracing, and corporate governance. He is recognized by Who’s Who Legal as an expert in Investigations, Asset Recovery, and Forensics & Litigation Consulting.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Williamson was most recently a partner in BDO UK’s forensic practice where he was responsible for the investigations service offering, delivering corporate investigations in the UK and internationally. Previously he was a director in the investigations leadership team at Deloitte Forensic. Williamson holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
