Investcorp, a manager of alternative investments, announced the launch of its Strategic Capital Partners strategy, which will focus on minority equity investments in mid-sized alternative asset managers.
To guide the Strategic Capital Partners business, Investcorp has hired Anthony Maniscalco who has over 25 years of experience and was formerly Managing Director and Co-Head of Credit Suisse’s Anteil Capital Partners business. Prior to Credit Suisse, He was on the leadership team of Blackstone Strategic Capital Holdings, a vehicle focused on acquiring minority interests in alternative asset managers. Maniscalco joins Investcorp as the Managing Partner and Head of Strategic Capital Partners within the Firm’s Absolute Return Investments group.

Investcorp’s Strategic Capital Partners business will acquire minority equity stakes in the GPs of established alternative asset managers, including private equity, private debt, real estate, venture capital and hedge fund managers.
