B. Riley announced new additions to its affiliated companies in Houston, TX. Myles Scott has joined B. Riley Wealth Management as Senior Vice President. Michael McConnell has joined B. Riley FBR as Managing Director, Investment Banking. B. Riley Wealth Management and B. Riley FBR are both wholly-owned subsidiaries of B. Riley Financial, Inc.

Myles Scott joins B. Riley Wealth Management as Senior Vice President. Mr. Scott previously served as Associate Director at US Capital Advisors where he advised high-net worth clients including successful entrepreneurs, senior executives, business owners, affluent families, and family offices. His financial advisory practice is centered around asset allocation strategies with a focus on fixed income, equities, MLPs, private equity and private credit investments. Previously, he served as a Financial Analyst in the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch where he assisted in the creation and management of discretionary portfolios involving equity, fixed income, and alternative investments. He graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a B.S. in Economics and received an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.

Michael McConnell joins B. Riley FBR, Inc. as Managing Director in the firm’s investment banking division. Mr. McConnell previously served as Managing Director at US Capital Advisors where he focused on raising private capital for energy companies as well as assisting company owners in managing their financial wealth. He has advised, partnered and managed money for institutional investors, family offices, and individual investors for 16 years. He was previously with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and spent seven years as Co-Portfolio Manager of a long/short hedge fund at Spring Street Partners, which he co-founded. Mr. McConnell graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. in Economics and received an MBA from Thunderbird School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of Badger Midstream Energy, L.P.
