Citizens Commercial Banking announced that Jason Shanahan has joined the bank’s Retail Finance Group as a Senior Vice President and Senior Originator. Bringing more than 20 years of financial services experience to his new role, Shanahan joins Citizens from Wells Fargo Capital Finance, where he was a Director in the Retail Finance Group.

Shanahan will be based in Boston and will report to Jaime Ward, Head of the Retail Finance Group at Citizens Commercial Banking. The Retail Finance Group provides industry expertise and financial solutions to retailers across the United States.

Prior to joining Citizens, Shanahan spent nearly 20 years with Wells Fargo Capital Finance, most recently as a Director in the Retail Finance Group. In that role, he led relationship development and strategic capital deployment across a diverse loan portfolio. Before that, he was a senior relationship manager, working with domestic and international middle market companies. Shanahan also held an underwriting position with the bank.
