Bill Fasel has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a managing director in the firm’s Strategic Solutions practice within Advisory Services. In this role, he will leverage the firm’s financial advisory and transformation capabilities to deliver turnaround and restructuring, operational improvement and transaction advisory services to underperforming and distressed companies and their creditors, lenders and other key constituents.
Fasel has more than 25 years of advisory experience assisting multinational and middle-market clients with corporate restructuring, business transformation, corporate finance and strategic planning. He has provided a range of business advisory and M&A services to companies, debtors, lenders, unsecured creditors and private equity firms.

Before joining Grant Thornton, Fasel held leadership roles with several professional-services firms, including PwC LLP’s Business Recovery Services practice, Deloitte LLP’s Corporate Advisory Services group, Mesirow Financial Consulting and Huron Consulting Group.
Fasel received a master’s of business administration degree in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s of business administration degree in finance from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, Association for Corporate Growth and American Bankruptcy Institute.
