Conway MacKenzie announces veteran automotive industry restructuring and management consulting professional, Sig Huber is joining the firm as a Senior Managing Director. Huber’s decades of experience includes OEM leadership roles involving turnaround, reorganization, bankruptcy, and mergers & acquisitions.
He has been involved in a majority of the significant automotive supplier restructuring cases including Takata, where he played an important role in the most complex multi-jurisdiction bankruptcy in industry history.
Huber also has broad based experience leading aligned and collaborative global teams in procurement & supply chain management, supplier performance enhancement, labor relations, government affairs and many other areas. In addition, he is as an attorney who has practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial transactions and litigation in both an in-house and outside counsel capacity.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Huber was a Global Director of Purchasing with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) where he and was a member of the leadership team that took Chrysler through its bankruptcy and subsequent purchase by Fiat. He was involved with many aspects of the transaction, including negotiations with President Obama’s Auto Task Force, managing critical supply chain issues, corporate cash management and employee/supplier communications.
Huber was also an active participant in the Fiat due diligence process prior to their purchase of Chrysler. He had broad based responsibilities in the Purchasing organization that included leading supplier risk management teams in Italy, Brazil, China and North America as well as managing supplier union/labor relations, supplier diversity and numerous other areas.
Prior to his experience at FCA, Huber worked for Toyota where he served in numerous roles ranging from Senior Legal Counsel to various leadership positions in Purchasing and Government Affairs.
Huber received his JD from California Western School of Law and a BA from the University of California, San Diego. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio, and he is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Association for Corporate Growth. He is also the Chair of the Veteran Owned Business Round Table and former long standing Board Member of both the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG).
