“We appreciate receiving distinctions for a total of six private credit awards, including Global Fund Manager of the Year by Private Debt Investor. We believe these awards underscore our leadership position in providing flexible private credit financing solutions to the middle market across the U.S. and Europe,” said Kipp deVeer, Head of the Ares Credit Group and CEO of Ares Capital Corporation. “We had an outstanding 2019 where we committed more than $21.5 billion across over 270 direct lending transactions in both continents. We believe our scale, experience and the breadth of our platform provides significant advantages in addressing the growing funding needs of the middle market.”
“We are pleased to be recognized by Infrastructure Investor as North American Infrastructure Fund Manager of the Year and as a leading investor in the renewables sector, which is experiencing a profound market shift driven by rapid cost declines, public policy support, growing consumer demand and a desire for decarbonization,” said Keith Derman and Andy Pike, Partners and Co-Heads of Ares Infrastructure and Power. “As the opportunity set for renewables continues to expand, we believe our team is well-positioned to build upon our proven 30-year track record in climate infrastructure and leverage the origination, execution, and asset management capabilities of Ares to capture additional opportunities within the clean energy transition.”
“On behalf of our leadership, I would also like to congratulate SSG Capital for being recognized by Private Debt Investor as Asia-Pacific Distressed Debt Investor of the Year and for Deal of the Year.
