BMO Announces $100,000 Donation in Support of Nova Scotia

BMO Financial Group today announced a donation of $100,000 to charities in Nova Scotia to help communities affected by the recent tragedy.

"Communities across the province are coping with the horrifying aftermath of these events, and we are here to help," said Scott Brison , Vice-Chair, Investment and Corporate Banking, BMO Capital Markets. "BMO is standing behind the people of Nova Scotia and providing funds and support where it's needed most."

BMO's donation will be provided to two organizations: The Nova Scotia Strong First Responders Fund, set up by the Wounded Warriors Canada to help provide mental health support for affected first responders and their families; and the Nova Scotia Mental Health Foundation, to support community programs for those affected by the tragedy.

"As proud and longstanding members of the Nova Scotia community, we are committed to providing support to those affected," continued Mr. Brison. "BMO's Purpose is to boldly grow the good in business and life. In these difficult times, our Purpose guides us to help those who need it and provide support where we can."
