Gerber Adds Three New Hires During National Employment Slowdown

September 08, 2020, 08:39 AM

Gerber Finance announced the hiring of three new full-time employees. During such uncertain times, Gerber feels it is important to put an emphasis on growing and protecting the business, and is grateful for the opportunity to expand the team.

“Despite this difficult time when most companies are reducing their workforce we thought it important to increase our headcount to ensure we are fulfilling our commitment to stockholders and banks to protect and grow our business and other businesses,” noted CEO Jennifer Palmer.

Graham Nelson joins the California office as a Collateral Analyst with previous experience in the banking, payments, and healthcare industries. He worked as a Loan Administrator at First Republic Bank and managed the entire loan portfolio of the Bank’s Professional Loan Program. Although Graham is currently a California resident he is originally from Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Whitman College.

Hailey Williams is a recent graduate from Drew University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. She started at Gerber in May as an Operations Intern and was quickly brought on full-time as a Collateral Analyst for the New York office. Her tenacity and eager-to-learn attitude made her a perfect fit for the team.

“Graham and Hailey are instrumental in ensuring that our team has an extra set of eyes on our portfolio at all times. We want to continue expanding our client list, but in order to do so we need people like Hailey and Graham to remain dedicated and vigilant towards the wonderful companies that we currently fund,” said Palmer.

Kelly South came on board as a Marketing intern in January and after assisting with the Gerber Finance Foundation, social media efforts, and marketing campaigns she has officially been hired as Marketing & Communications Coordinator. Kelly will continue to grow Gerber’s social presence and media outreach, while also working closely with the Foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Communications from SUNY Cortland.

“Kelly will help us to continue to grow our portfolio through new marketing methods and techniques showcasing our brand,” added Jennifer.
