Sullivan Joins First Capital as Factoring BDO in Western Region

First Capital announced the hiring of Tom Sullivan, vice president, in the Factoring Western Region. Sullivan will be responsible for new business development throughout the Western region and will be based out of the Los Angeles office.

Sullivan has more than 40 years of lending experience with the last 20 years in business development capacity in the factoring, asset based and commercial banking sector. Most recently, he held the position of VP – Business Development Officer with HSBC Bank USA. Previously Sullivan was Regional Sales Manager with Wells Fargo Commercial Banking and held various positions with Heller Financing Inc., Security Pacific Business Credit and Bankers Trust Company, Inc.

“We’ve been looking for the right candidate to develop the factoring market within the Western Region,” stated Ron Garber, EVP and Factoring Western Region Manager. “We’re excited to have Tom join our team. His knowledge and experience in the local market will continue to strengthen our factoring originations throughout the region.”

Sullivan stated, “I am pleased to have this opportunity to join the factoring division and promote First Capital throughout the Western Region. As one of the largest non-bank commercial finance lenders in the country, First Capital has the benefit of local authority to make quick decisions which will greatly help us in bringing working capital solutions to local entrepreneurs.”

First Capital provides working capital financing typically ranging from $2 million to $25 million primarily to small and middle-market businesses with annual sales ranging from $10 million to $250 million.
