Tower Three Partners announced that Peter Fitzsimmons has joined the firm as a managing director. Fitzsimmons was most recently president of North America and co-head of the North American Turnaround and Restructuring Services group for AlixPartners, the global business advisory firm.

During a 25-year career as an operating executive and consultant, Peter has worked across the globe and in many industries. He has been a CEO, CFO and Chief Restructuring Officer, as well as a hands-on advisor, for a variety of companies in a wide range of industries including: retail, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, automotive, insurance and telecommunications. In these roles, he has enabled clients to materially improve performance in short periods of time by combining strong strategic thinking with disciplined execution and sound financial management.

Over the last 18 years, Fitzsimmons has been instrumental in the growth of AlixPartners from a restructuring boutique to an international consulting firm, most recently as a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Board of Directors. From 2003 to 2006, Fitzsimmons lived in London, where he co-founded and helped build a profitable European business for AlixPartners.  Since returning to the U.S. in 2007, he has led AlixPartners' North American business during a time in which the firm has doubled in size.

Fitzsimmons has an AB degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
