After a brief hiatus, Marc Swirsky has rejoined the Boards of the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA) and the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) as a Voluntary Board Member.
The MDNA is an international, nonprofit trade association dedicated to the promotion of the used machinery industry. It was established in 1941 to assure buyers of the integrity and reliability of the hundreds of used machinery dealers from around the world that are members of the association. In 1993, Swirsky joined his first MDNA member firm and ever since has remained affiliated with MDNA member firms. He previously served on the Board as a Director at Large.
The AMEA’s mission is to accredit certified equipment appraisers. Members stand by a strict code of ethics that sets an even higher bar than the industry standard, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Swirsky has been a member of the AMEA for 19 years. He previously served on the Board as a Director.
Beginning in 1994, Swirsky began his involvement in leadership in 1994 when he was elected to the Board of MDNA’s West Coast chapter. Since then, he has served two terms in each of the chapter’s four leadership posts (chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer).
Swirsky is President of Liquidation Services at AccuVal-LiquiTec. He has participated in thousands of appraisal and liquidation projects on behalf of financial institutions, private equity groups and corporations around the world. He specializes in production and process machinery, heavy mobile equipment, and industrial and commercial assets.
AccuVal-LiquiTec is the industry leader in corporate valuation, advisory and disposition services. It appraises and liquidates all corporate assets including business enterprises, equity & stock, bonds, intellectual property, machinery & equipment, inventory, real estate and accounts receivable in virtually every industry segment.
