The Wall Street Journal reported Deirdre McGuinness, a Wells Fargo banker specializing in restructurings and a former Justice Department Trustee for large corporate bankruptcy cases, is leaving the bank to join Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, a company that works with law firms on pre-filing preparations to final distributions after a plan is approved in bankruptcy court.
According to The Wall Street Journal report, McGuinness served as managing director of Wells Fargo Capital Finance since Jan. 2008, originating restructuring finance and capital markets services to corporate clients, including chemical maker LyondellBasell Industries , grocer A&P and textbook publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers. McGuinness was also formerly a U.S. Trustee charged with monitoring corporate bankruptcy cases. She oversaw the administration of cases including Delphi Corp. Delta Air Lines and St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
