Apex Group, a global financial services provider, announced it has expanded Loan Agency services both in support of existing Loan Administration capabilities and in support of Private Equity and Leveraged Finance client needs.

This development supports Apex’s existing bespoke and comprehensive range of operational, accounting and administration services to support conventional or complex capital markets transactions and the needs of clients throughout their lifecycle.

Apex’s Capital Markets business supports clients planning and executing a broad cross-section of capital markets transactions to facilitate growth, respond to regulatory change, or manage risk. The Loan Agency & Administration offering provides tailored services to bilateral, club and syndicated loans and offers transaction support from borrower, lender and debt fund perspectives.

Apex Group’s Loan Agency services include:

  • Documentation review, negotiation and execution.
  • Know your client (KYC).
  • Engagement and support with deal waiver and amendment requests.
  • Tailored accounting and reporting solutions to track loan performance.
  • Cash reconciliation.

This evolution and extension of Apex’s Loan services offering is a demonstration of the Group’s ability to anticipate, understand and react to a changing market and client needs.

This announcement is further evidence of the evolution of Apex’s Capital Markets business to better serve its clients. In 2020, the business made a number of senior hires including the appointment of Paul Wilden from TMF Group as Global Head of Capital Markets to lead the development of the Group’s offering in the sector.

Aman Bahel, Managing Director, Europe Head, Business Development at Apex Group comments: “As we approach a post-pandemic world, debt investors will play a key role in economic recovery as they invest across the capital structures of businesses. The longer-term investment horizon and cycle, combined with the search for yield in the medium term low-interest rate environment, presents an attractive and resilient investment proposition for institutional investors. We understand the Capital Markets and the trends driving them, enabling us to provide comprehensive services to our clients across a wide range of transactions.”

Paul Wilden, Global Head of Capital Markets at Apex Group comments: “We are pleased to announce the enhancement of our Loan Agency services, as we anticipate the growing and evolving needs of our debt fund, traditional bank lending, leveraged finance and private equity clients. These developments underline the Group’s continued commitment to sustainable growth and the continued drive towards expanding and evolving our single-source solution capabilities to better serve our clients. We are excited by the prospect of leveraging our experience and technologies to provide clients with a more comprehensive end-to-end solution tailored to their needs.”
