BHI promoted Oleg Kochanov to the position of Chief Credit Officer. Kochanov, who joined BHI in 2019 as Senior Vice President, Head of Credit Underwriting, has more than 20 years of experience in loan underwriting, structuring, and portfolio and client relationship management.

“Oleg is a seasoned banker with extensive experience across the financial services industry in various credit and portfolio management positions.  Having led our credit underwriting team for the last two years, he is well-positioned to take on this expanded role.  He has made invaluable contributions to the bank and we congratulate him as he assumes this new role,” said Gil Karni, CEO of BHI.

During the past two years, Kochanov headed BHI’s independent credit underwriting department, which was established to provide an objective and consistent approach to underwriting and credit analysis in order to support the Bank’s continued growth.

Prior to BHI, Kochanov held executive positions in commercial banking, credit underwriting and portfolio management with major financial institutions including Bank United, Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase.
