Crestmark added Warren Powell to the Working Capital business unit. In his new role as Business Development Officer, Powell is responsible for promotion of the company’s asset-based lending offerings. Based in North Carolina, he will report to Mark Collins, group eastern sales manager.

Powell has over 20 years of alternative lending experience, having held several senior level business development positions across the industry. Most recently he served as senior vice president, business development with SLR Business Credit/Summit Financial Resources, where he built strong relationships with a myriad of financial entities, as well as business owners and stakeholders, providing solutions to specific funding needs. Prior to that he served as southeastern sales director with Prestige Capital Corporation; vice president of sales for NC & VA with Magnolia Financial, Inc.; business development manager in North Carolina with Private Business, Inc.

Powell earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a business minor from East Carolina University. He remains involved with several industry associations in the southeast region.
