The Global M&A Network announced the winners of the 14th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards, naming national interim management and advisory firm SierraConstellation Partners (“SCP”) as the winner of “Private Equity Deal of the Year” for their work with Colorado-based landscape maintenance and development company, Metco Landscape (“Metco”). The award was presented at a virtual networking event and ceremony on July 21st, 2022.
The awards recognize firms that have achieved the “Gold Standard of Performance” within the M&A and restructuring industry. The judges consider a firm’s past and current advisory records, expertise, team and leadership, improvements, and other pertinent criteria when selecting winners for this distinguished award.
As Metco quickly approached a significant liquidity cliff and the secured lender’s forbearance deadline, the SCP team, led by Managing Director Bill Partridge and Senior Associate Kevin Santos, successfully launched and completed a comprehensive sales process in just over two months. Metco was acquired by Los Angeles-based global private investment firm Atar Capital in a deal stabilizing and securing employment for Metco workers.
“We’re thrilled to accept the Private Equity Deal of the Year award for our work with the high-profile acquisition of Metco Landscaping, further demonstrating SCP’s first-class capabilities in the private equity arena,” said deal co-lead Bill Partridge. “I’m thankful to Metco for their commitment and cooperation, and the rest of our SCP team for successfully pushing through this herculean task and continuing to strive for excellence despite tough circumstances and a tight timeline.”
This recognition extends SCP’s winning track record in the Turnaround Atlas Awards. SCP was previously awarded “Turnaround of the Year” for the firm’s work with LORAC Cosmetics’ acquisition by Markwins Beaty Brands in 2019, as well as one of the “Outstanding Turnaround Consulting Firms of the Year” for the middle market in 2020.
