Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced that Tom Phelps, a veteran consultant with extensive retail industry experience, has joined the firm as a managing director to work with retailers in the U.S. and worldwide to improve business performance. He is based in Chicago.
Joining Phelps at A&M are members of his team from the former ClearLine Group who collectively bring several decades’ worth of experience working alongside Global 2000 organizations to maximize the technologies that help businesses operate more effectively. Phelps and his group add to A&M’s depth, capabilities and ability to respond to the need for enterprise performance management and analytical solutions.

Prior to serving as CEO of ClearLine Group, where he led a team of seasoned professionals for 25 years, he was executive vice president of Palladium Group, and founder and CEO of ThinkFast Consulting. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant for Comshare, Inc., one of the early pioneers of Decision Support technologies.
