Clifford Chance announced that partners Alexandra L. Wilde and Enoch Varner joined its new office in Houston. They join Jonathan Castelan and Trevor Lavelle as part of the seven new partners in Houston along with Devika Kornbacher, Alex Leff and Tony Giustini who are relocating to support the expansion.
Wilde joins from Jones Day. She acts for a wide range of energy and infrastructure sector clients on matters including private equity investments, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and general corporate advice. Wilde's experience includes energy transition and traditional energy matters, such as solar, wind, CCUS, battery storage, renewable energy, biofuels, specialty chemicals and traditional upstream/midstream/downstream oil and gas markets.
Varner joins from Kirkland & Ellis and has extensive experience advising financial investors as well as private equity firms and private and public companies on merger and acquisition transactions. His practice spans GP-led secondary transactions, strategic mergers, take-privates, joint ventures, minority investments and other strategic transactions.
