Stonepeak, an alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets, today announced that Jack Howell and Luke Taylor have been named Co-Presidents of the firm, a promotion from their former roles as Co-Chief Operating Officers. Stonepeak Co-Founder Michael Dorrell remains Chief Executive Officer and Chairman.
The promotion is a continuation of the rise of Luke Taylor and Jack Howell within the firm, both of whom started with Stonepeak around its inception. Their new titles are befitting of the role each plays within the firm, and the pair will continue to have oversight of the firm’s day-to-day activities globally. Michael Dorrell will continue to lead the firm with a focus on investing, strategy, and partner relationships.
Michael Dorrell, CEO, Chairman, and Co-Founder of Stonepeak, said, “These promotions further strengthen the firm, increasing our leadership depth and providing space for our next generation of stars to rise. It affords me the leverage to focus on the areas I believe are most important to our partners, particularly investing and risk management. Luke and Jack are exceptional, and we are fortunate to be in a position to promote from within.”
Jack Howell and Luke Taylor, Co-Presidents of Stonepeak, said, “We have been business partners and great friends for nearly a decade. As the firm has grown, we believe we have balanced the entrepreneurial spirit of Stonepeak’s small partnership that is key to the firm’s success with the institutionalization appropriate for a firm now managing around $58 billion of partner capital. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Mike and our deep bench of talent as we diligently execute on our investment strategies and carefully steward the capital of our more than 260 investors.”
