Holland & Knight Announces 46 New Partners

Steven Sonberg, managing partner of Holland & Knight, announced that 46 attorneys in the firm have been elected to partnership effective Jan. 1, 2024. Thirty-six associates and 10 senior counsels from various offices throughout the firm have been elevated.

Holland & Knight's new class of partners is one of its most diverse, with 57 percent of members coming from underrepresented demographics within the legal profession. This is the eighth year in a row that Holland & Knight has promoted a new partner class that is more than 50 percent diverse.

Associates elevated to partnership:

Rachel Agius is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Chicago. Ms. Agius' practice focuses on commercial litigation, class action defense, energy litigation and data privacy matters across a variety of industry sectors.

Anthony Amorini is a member of the firm's Business Section in Chicago. Mr. Amorini primarily represents borrowers and lenders in senior secured credit facilities, second-lien credit facilities, real estate finance matters and syndicated credit facilities.

Meg Brown is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Washington, D.C. Ms. Brown focuses on a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including dispositions and acquisitions, real estate finance, joint ventures and leasing.

Meaghan Colligan (Hembree) is a member of the firm's Government Section in Washington, D.C. Ms. Colligan provides transportation, manufacturing, energy and development clients strategic business, legal and policy counseling regarding environmental considerations involving operational compliance, risk mitigation, Superfund sites, brownfields, plastics, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), chemicals, products, greenwashing, and environmental, social and governance (ESG).

Alex Dimock is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Dallas. Mr. Dimock's practice focuses on commercial real estate capital markets and complex litigation.

Flynne Dowdy is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Nashville. Ms. Dowdy represents employers in litigation involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and unpaid wages, and provides day-to-day advice and counsel to management and human resources personnel.

Robert Farlow is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Tysons and Richmond. Mr. Farlow focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial, corporate and employment litigation. Mr. Farlow's litigation and arbitration experience includes post-mergers and acquisitions (M&A) representation and warranty disputes, trade secret claims and data privacy rights.

Manny Gardberg is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Houston. Mr. Gardberg focuses his practice on real estate and finance matters across the country.

Cynthia Gierhart is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Group within the Litigation Section in Washington, D.C. Ms. Gierhart's practice focuses on media, trademark, copyright and entertainment law.

Matt Gornick is a member of the firm's Business Section in Nashville. Mr. Gornick counsels banks, specialty lenders and borrowers on complex commercial financing transactions covering a multitude of matters in the healthcare, private equity and financial services industries.

Nicholas Hasenfus is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Boston. Mr. Hasenfus concentrates his practice on technology transactions, intellectual property licensing, transportation, information technology, and data privacy and security.

Morgan Ivey is a member of the firm's Healthcare Section in Nashville. Ms. Ivey assists clients with a wide range of corporate matters and strategic transactions, including recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures involving physician practices, dermatology and plastic surgery practices, medical spas, dental practices, multispecialty practices and other healthcare platforms.

Andrea James is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Houston. Ms. James focuses her practice in the areas of general civil litigation and labor and employment.

Daniel Janovitz is a member of the firm's Business Section in Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Janovitz focuses his practice in the area of taxation, assisting domestic and international clients.

Rachel Katz is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in New York. Ms. Katz represents clients in a range of sophisticated real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, condominium formation, financing and leasing matters.

William Kent is a member of the firm's Business Section in Chattanooga. Mr. Kent advises privately held companies, long-term holding companies, private equity sponsors and venture capital firms in a broad range of transactional, corporate and securities matters.

Jennifer Lada is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in New York. Ms. Lada represents international and domestic clients in state and federal court in matters ranging from complex commercial litigation and shareholder disputes to business torts, class actions, antitrust and employment matters.

Olufunke Leroy is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Philadelphia. Ms. Leroy counsels clients across a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including retail, industrial, office and ground leasing matters, acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance, joint ventures and renewable energy projects.

Vanessa Lopez is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Miami. Ms. Lopez's practice focuses on complex business disputes and employment defense, including class actions and other multiparty disputes. Ms. Lopez has experience representing clients in numerous forums, including in state and federal court, as well as domestic and international arbitrations and before various government agencies.

Nate Lykins is a member of the firm's Healthcare Section in Nashville. Patrick McCabe is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in Philadelphia. Trey Neal is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Nashville. Mr. Neal assists real estate investors, owners, developers and operators in complex real estate transactions and high-volume commercial leasing matters.

Alexander Olama is a member of the firm's Business Section in Tampa. Mr. Olama focuses his practice on domestic and international tax planning for individuals and tax controversy representation.

Sarah Parker is a member of the firm's Business Section in Atlanta. Trevor Ruff is a member of the firm's Business Section in Atlanta. Mr. Ruff focuses his practice on international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, commercial transactions and general corporate matters.

Maggie Sandwith is a member of the firm's Real Estate Section in Nashville. Ms. Sandwith has extensive experience in commercial real estate matters, including office, retail, shopping center, industrial and warehouse leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, financings and construction projects.

Meghal Shah is a member of the firm's Business Section in Boston. Ms. Shah practices business and tax law, with a concentration in syndicated real estate transactions that qualify for federal and state low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC).

Ross Tuminello is a member of the firm's Business Section in Dallas. Her experience includes due diligence, permitting and entitlements, and litigation for project proponents and agencies, including under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), with a particular focus on housing law.

Parker Young is a member of the firm's Business Section in Houston. Ms. Young represents both lenders and borrowers in an array of finance transactions in a broad range of practice areas, including upstream and midstream energy, renewables and commercial middle market transactions.

Mitchell Bottey is a member of the firm's Business Section in Miami. Mr. Bottey focuses his practice on sophisticated estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Chael Clark is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in New York. Mr. Clark represents purchasers, sellers, representations and warranties insurance underwriters, and other transaction participants in claims, controversies and trial litigation related to M&A disputes.

Robert Denig is a member of the firm's Litigation Section in New York. Mr. Denig practices in the areas of admiralty law, international commercial arbitration and litigation, and maritime arbitration, as well as a broad range of general commercial disputes.

Kelly Hellmuth is a member of the firm's Business Section in Jacksonville. Ms. Hellmuth focuses her practice on charitable and nonprofit issues on a national scale. She advises public charities, private foundations, trustees of charitable trusts, religious institutions, trade associations and other tax-exempt organizations, in addition to donors.

Monika Jain is a member of the firm's Business Section in New York. Ms. Jain advises and represents high-net-worth individuals and families regarding estate and tax planning, wealth transfer and asset protection, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, contested probate and trust matters, matrimonial agreements and charitable giving.

Lindsey Kernan is a member of the firm's Business Section in Los Angeles.
