Wells Fargo Capital Finance Names Whitmore National ABL Sales Director; Kuriger to Lead Syndications Activities

June 07, 2024, 08:00 AM

Wells Fargo Capital Finance appointed two senior leaders responsible for asset-based lending Originations and Syndications, further reinforcing its focus on providing valuable advice and expertise for the company’s commercial clients who are considering asset-based lending for their capital needs. Lynn Whitmore leads the team responsible for originating asset-based loans and Darryl Kuriger and his team manages all ABL and Middle Market Pro-Rata loan syndications activities for Commercial Banking.

“I’m very pleased to have Lynn and Darryl join the Capital Finance leadership team, allowing our clients and employees to leverage these leaders’ extensive experience and knowledge of asset-based lending. They have both worked on some of the largest and most complex ABL deals in the industry and have supported clients’ working capital and business growth goals through all market cycles,” said Kurt Marsden, head of Wells Fargo Capital Finance.

Whitmore, a 24-year company veteran, has been the Corporate Originations leader since 2021, and, prior to that, she led ABL Retail underwriting and originations efforts. In this new role, Whitmore and her team will drive loan growth across the business by developing and deepening strategic relationships with clients and prospects interested in Wells Fargo’s ABL product. A graduate of Cornell University, Whitmore is a member of TMA and SFNet, and outside of spending time with her family, she volunteers with the West End House Boys and Girls Club in her Boston community.

Kuriger re-joined the company in 2023, after previously serving 22 years with Capital Finance. Darryl also served as head of ABL for Truist Securities and head of ABL Capital Markets for Bank of America Securities. In his role as head of Loan Syndications, Kuriger supports all syndications activities across Commercial Banking, bringing both ABL and Middle Market bank loans to the Capital markets. Kuriger is a member of SFNet and serves on their Event Planning Committee. He is a graduate of Villanova University and a proud father of two boys. In his Philadelphia community, Kuriger supports the Bux-mont Saints organization, as well as non-profit organizations National Jewish Health and the Kelly Gibson Foundation.
