October 17, 2024, 09:12 AM

MidOcean Partners announced that Jon Fox, former President of the alternative investment firm Värde, has joined the firm as Global Head of Capital Formation. Fox brings several decades of leadership and alternative asset management experience to MidOcean that will help to enhance and expand MidOcean’s investor relationships globally, and position the firm to continue to meet investors’ evolving needs.

“I am very excited to welcome Jon to MidOcean as we continue to create innovative solutions for investors globally,” said Ted Virtue, CEO of MidOcean. “His experience as a leader in capital formation will enhance our already talented team and allow us to deliver more of our growing platform to investors across all channels.”

In addition to Fox’s nearly 11 years of experience at Värde, where he was also previously Head of the New York office, he has held senior roles at Fortress Investment Group and Lehman Brothers. Fox spent over a decade of his time at these firms while based in London, where he had the opportunity to work with investors across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. His experience has crossed nearly every alternative asset class in both private markets and liquid strategies, and he has helped launch and grow investment businesses and funds in nearly every major region across the globe.

Fox added, “I’m thrilled to join MidOcean and bring even more of the firm’s capabilities to bear in solving investor needs. MidOcean is a platform with a proud history and strong investing talent, and I’m honored to help build on that foundation to positively impact the firm’s future.”

MidOcean Partners is a premier New York-based alternative asset manager specializing in middle-market private equity, structured capital, and alternative credit investments.
