Crown Partners Arranges Senior Financing for Wyandot Snacks

December 03, 2024, 08:05 AM

Crown Partners successfully arranged senior financing for Wyandot Snacks ("Wyandot"), a portfolio company of Astara Capital Partners.  The firm served as exclusive financial advisor to Wyandot in connection with this transaction, which provides increased capital to support its continued growth.

Crown was chosen for its specialized expertise in the asset-based financing market, and its deep relationships with the relevant prospective lenders.  Crown delivered this expertise to Wyandot, resulting in an efficient and effective process.

“The Crown team distinguished themselves from a traditional investment bank through their detailed technical understanding of the asset-based lending screening, underwriting and documentation processes.  During these phases, their significant experience closing precedent transactions with each of the prospective lenders played a key role in our successful outcome,” said George Luo, Astara Capital Partners.

Wyandot is a leading contract manufacturer of snacks, cereals and other related food products. Wyandot manufactures a range of extruded, tortilla chip and popcorn products, serving customers across the branded, private label and food-service segments. For 85 years, Wyandot has been a trusted partner to leading and emerging food companies with a dedication to the highest food safety and quality standards.

“Congratulations to both Wyandot and to the Astara deal teams on this successful outcome.  Crown appreciates the opportunity to work with private equity sponsors that are committed to successful transaction outcomes.  Astara executed at an extremely high caliber during our work together,” said Mark Seigel and Evan Nadler.
