Opus Bank announced William (“Bill”) G. Jones and Rachel Thacker have joined Opus Bank, each as Director, Client Manager – Commercial Business Banking - Pacific Northwest Region. Mr. Jones, a 35-year banking veteran, is Opus’ first commercial banker in Oregon and is responsible for expanding Opus’ commercial and corporate client base in the Portland, Oregon region. Ms. Thacker, a 10-year banking veteran, is focused on expanding Opus’ commercial and corporate client base in the Seattle/Puget Sound region.

Jones joins Opus Bank most recently from Umpqua Bank where he served as VP, Senior Relationship Manager in the Portland Metro region. From 1999 through 2010, Jones served as VP, Senior Relationship Manager for Bank of the West in the Portland market. Earlier in his career, he served in similar positions with U.S. Bank, West One Bank, Bank of Nova Scotia, and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, in all cases based in the Portland metropolitan area.
Thacker joins Opus Bank most recently from Bank of America, where she served as VP, Business Client Manager focused on middle market businesses in Seattle and the greater Seattle area. From 2006 to 2010, Thacker served as a Senior Business Relationship Manager with Wells Fargo Bank where she focused on small businesses and lower middle market companies in Snohomish County. Ms. Thacker started her banking career with Wells Fargo in 2004 as a Business Banking Specialist – Team Leader in the Seattle market.
