Bridge Capital Holdings announced Alan Spurgin has joined its Technology Banking Division as senior vice president and group manager. Based in Reston, Virginia, Spurgin will be responsible for the management and development of Bridge Bank's business activities in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States.

With an extensive background in corporate and investment banking in executive management and sales leadership roles, Spurgin brings over 25 years of experience in developing strategic partnerships, client relationships and bank portfolios. Most recently, he held leadership positions at Square 1 Bank where he managed the Technology and Life Sciences banking practice in the Eastern U.S., in addition to overseeing its asset-based lending and late stage/syndicated finance businesses. Spurgin holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He also attended the Duke Leadership Institute at Duke University.
