Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP announced the hiring of two new directors to further bolster its Corporate Restructuring Group in New York. Sean Cunningham, will lead CRG’s creditor rights practice. Bob Frezza will focus on financial restructuring and related advisory services. Cunningham comes from FTI Consulting where he was a senior managing director providing expert restructuring advice and services to senior lenders, unsecured creditors and debtors. Frezza comes from Capstone Advisory Group LLP where he spent 14 years as an executive director.
Cunningham has more than 20 years of experience providing expert restructuring advice and services to senior lenders, unsecured creditors and debtors. For the last two years he was a senior managing director at FTI Consulting having returned after serving in the same role with FTI Consulting from 2001- 2004. Between his times at FTI Consulting, Cunningham was part of the restructuring and advisory transaction services practice at Capstone Advisory, LLC.
Cunningham began his restructuring career at Policano & Manzo LLC. Prior to his restructuring specialization, Cunningham was a founder and served as Chief Financial Officer of TransCare Corporation, a provider of medical transportation services.
Cunningham earned his MBA in financial management at the Lubin Scholl of Business at Pace University and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Manhattan College.
Previously, Frezza spent 14 years as an executive director and member of Capstone Advisory Group, LLP. Earlier, Frezza held senior positions in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Group and in Paris-based international accounting and consulting firm Mazars International.
Frezza earned his BBA in accounting from Pace University and is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a Certified Valuation Analyst. He is a member of the AICPA, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
