SunTrust Robinson Humphrey announced the following new hires in its meregers and acquisitions team.

Doug Gonsalves, Managing Director - Technology, Media and Telecom: During an investment banking career that spans over two decades, Gonsalves has advised on numerous domestic and cross border transactions involving major technology consolidators such as Citrix, IBM, Oracle, Hitachi and Symantec, as well as leading technology-focused private equity firms. Gonsalves' prior experience includes serving as a Managing Director at Moreland & Associates. He previously was head of Investment Banking and M&A at Think Equity, and served as a member of management committee, as well as senior technology banker roles at SVB Alliant, the investment banking affiliate of Silicon Valley Bank, Merrill Lynch & Co., Robertson Stephens and Banc of America Securities. Gonsalves, a native Californian, will be based out of STRH's San Francisco office and will focus on enterprise technology and digital media companies within the TMT sector.

David Parker, Managing Director - Technology, Media and Telecom: Parker has over 18 years of investment banking experience. He joins STRH from RBC Capital Markets where he led U.S. investment banking coverage of mid and large cap telecom and communications infrastructure companies for eight years. Parker's team was one of the largest revenue producers within RBC's CME group, which was consistently a top three industry group within RBC. Previously, he was a partner with Daniels & Associates, a telecom and media boutique focused on the middle market. He received a BA from The University of Georgia. He will be based in Atlanta.

Sameer Chugh, Director - Healthcare: Chugh brings 15 years of M&A experience and his deal experience includes more than 30 transactions worth $25+ billion across Healthcare and Industrials segments. He joins SunTrust from Deutsche Bank where he focused on M&A in the Healthcare Services sector. He has previously worked with UBS's M&A team in New York and with Morgan Stanley in India. He also worked with the Essar Group (a diversified Indian conglomerate) as SVP and Head of M&A for one of their business verticals. Sameer received his MBA from NYU Stern where he was a Stern Scholar. Sameer will be based out of our New York office.

Ryan Hubbard, Director - Industrials: Hubbard joined STRH from Stone Key Partners, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on the Aerospace & Defense and Commercial Technology sectors. Prior to Stone Key, Hubbard began his career at Morgan Stanley as a member of the firm's M&A and Global Financial Sponsors groups. He received an M.B.A. from Kenan-Flagler Business School, a J.D. from the School of Law at the University of North Carolina, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He will be based in Atlanta.
