Lee Stern, Managing Director of Monroe Capital’s New York office, has been recognized by ACG New York as the 2015 Dealmaker of the Year in the Lender category. Award winners were honored at the 5th Annual ACG New York Champions Award ceremony held on June 18 in New York City.
The ACG New York Champions Award program recognizes and honors the leading middle market transactions, firms and dealmakers within the local ACG community responsible for supporting middle-market growth in New York. Criteria used by the judges included the importance of the transaction, product, service or dealmaker to the industry.
Stern is co-leading Monroe’s origination efforts in the Northeast Region focused on sponsor and non-sponsor transactions. He has an accomplished career with over 25 years in debt solutions to middle market companies and expertise across multiple industries. Prior to Monroe, Stern was a Managing Director at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners; Director and founding member of KKR's mezzanine debt business; and Managing Director at Blackstone/GSO.
Stern received a B.A. degree from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
