Lighthouse Financial Adds VP Business Development in Mid-Atlantic Region

July 17, 2015, 07:10 AM

Lighthouse Financial Corp. announced Ben Riley has been hired as Vice President, Business Development to cover the Mid-Atlantic region including Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  Riley's primary responsibilities will include the marketing of Lighthouse's product offerings, origination of new asset-based loan opportunities, and sourcing of collateral monitoring assignments with community banks lacking sufficient staffing or in-house expertise.  The addition of Riley is part of Lighthouse's strategy to grow its loan portfolio both in size and geographic reach.

Riley is an industry veteran with over 15 years of financial sales experience, most recently as Senior Vice President with Gibraltar Business Capital.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Riley worked with Marquette Commercial Finance and Diamond Business Credit, both in business development roles.  Riley also served as Senior New Business Agent with Euler Hermes ACI, the world's largest trade credit insurance company.  Riley holds a BA in Business and Economics from Randolph Macon College.

Commenting on Riley's hiring, Lighthouse president J. Brad Leach said "We are delighted to have Ben Riley join Lighthouse given his background and experience in commercial finance.  We are focused on strategically increasing the size of our loan portfolio and Ben's addition will permit us to work more closely with potential clients and referral sources in the market areas we seek to serve more effectively.  We believe that creative loan structuring, rapid credit evaluation and approvals, expedited loan closing schedules and superior service are what today's borrowers demand.  With Ben joining the Lighthouse team, we are well positioned to provide these qualities to our expanding client base."
