KeyBanc Capital Markets announced the expansion of its Corporate Banking Group in California. Gerry Barredo joined the bank as Managing Director and Head of the California Corporate Banking Region, based in San Francisco. In addition, Jojo Kochaphum and Daniel Sanchez have joined the bank as directors and will report to Barredo. The team is responsible for expanding client relationships with middle-market companies centric to Key’s industry expertise by delivering a combination of traditional banking services and capital markets solutions across the Western U.S. Barredo will report to Mike Jackson, Managing Director and Segment Leader for the firm’s Diversified Industries Group.

Barredo brings more than 30 years of banking experience, predominantly working with middle market companies. Prior to joining KeyBanc Capital Markets, he was a Market President at Citi for ten years, where he led commercial banking efforts in San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest Region. Previously, he held positions at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Union Bank.
Kochaphum brings more than 25 years of commercial banking and finance experience, including strategic planning, loan originations, relationship management and credit underwriting across numerous market segments and industry sectors. Prior to joining KeyBanc Capital Markets, he was a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at Bank of the West/BNP Paribas, where he led a team of Senior Relationship Managers to deliver financial products and services to middle market and corporate clients. Previously, he held positions at GMAC Commercial Finance, Macromedia, and GE Capital Commercial Finance.
Sanchez brings more than 25 years of banking and treasury experience. Prior to joining KeyBanc Capital Markets, he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Citi. His responsibilities included providing international treasury and cash management products to middle market companies and developing new relationships with those conducting international business in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, he held positions at HSBC Bank USA, Presidio Bank and Citi’s Commercial Business Group.
In November 2014, KeyBanc Capital Markets announced the southwest expansion of its Corporate Banking Group. Jeff Geuther and Larry Ellis joined the bank as Managing Directors based in Houston, and Brian Hanley and Eric Appel joined the bank as Directors.
