Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced that its Global Forensic and Dispute Services group has been formally recognized by the National Security Agency’s Cyber Incident Response Assistance (CIRA) accreditation program.  The National Security Cyber Assistance Program (NSCAP) initiative is a renowned program that leverages the expertise of top cybersecurity service providers to help classified networks in the U.S. government defend against cyber threats and deliver cyber incident response assistance.

The program provides lists of leading, accredited cybersecurity providers to owners and operators of National Security Systems (NSS), which are increasingly in need of cyber assistance. Beneficiaries include government agencies and contractors using or operating telecommunications systems involving intelligence or cryptologic activities related to national security, command and control of military forces, and more.

To achieve the accreditation, Alvarez & Marsal underwent a thorough evaluation that reviewed the firm’s ability to provide cybersecurity services in 21 critical focus areas. The firm also demonstrated its ability to deliver consistent, repeatable processes and procedures that meet the highest industry standards carried out by teams of leading cybersecurity professionals with exceptional knowledge and experience.

“Cyber-attacks are inevitable in today’s connected world.  The NSCAP accreditation affirms our team’s capacity to protect against and manage such threats and incidents, particularly as they grow in frequency, severity and complexity,” said Art Ehuan, a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Global Forensic and Dispute Services’ Cyber practice. “Our cyber experts set the standard for delivering results and navigating crises that can single-handedly take down entire organizations.”

Response to cyber threats must be consistent, planned, practiced and rapidly executed; however, technology alone does not resolve cyber threats. A&M supports organizations in developing and implementing business-focused cyber security strategies and programs that are examined from an industry specific perspective. The firm’s end-to-end Cyber Protection services include:

  • Incident Response and Management
  • Cyber Security Assessments
  • Cyber Protection Awareness, Simulation and Training
  • Threat Intelligence Program
  • Cybersecurity Framework Benchmarking
  • Interim Chief Information Security Officer

Privately-held since 1983, A&M is a leading global professional services firm that delivers business performance improvement, turnaround management and advisory services to organizations seeking to transform operations, catapult growth and accelerate results through decisive action.  A&M’s Global Forensic and Dispute Services Group sets the standard for delivering results on critical matters, drawing on its team’s experience in business investigations, litigation consulting, forensic technology, and expert testimony to provide clients with the solutions they seek to achieve their goals.
