Capital One Bank announced the appointment of  Chris Mendelsohn to the Commercial Banking team in the Greater New York region. Mendelsohn joins Capital One as a Senior Vice President and will focus on providing commercial banking services and solutions to Capital One’s clients in the Long Island and New York Metropolitan markets and report to Miriam Tanenbaum, Head of Long Island and Queens Commercial Banking.

"Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our New York team,” Tanenbaum said. “He is a great fit with our organization and will provide strong, strategic support to the Bank's clients as we continue to grow the business.”

Mendelsohn brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial relationship banking to his new role. Prior to joining Capital One, Mendelsohn spent more than ten years at HSBC managing a variety of corporate banking relationships across the Tri-State region. Before HSBC, he served clients on Long Island with NatWest Bank USA and later Fleet Bank. Mendelsohn lives in Huntington, New York, and holds a B.A. in economics and history from Dartmouth College.
