Veritas Financial Partners announced that it has promoted Tony Liobis to vice chairman and Mark Seigel to president of the firm, effective immediately.
In a joint statement, Mr. Liobis and Mr. Seigel commented, “We are pleased to accept these new roles and are excited about the strong growth prospects for our company. We look forward to working with our outstanding team of colleagues to capitalize on Veritas's extensive market opportunities."
Mr. Liobis joined Veritas in August 2015 as chief credit officer and is responsible for the oversight of underwriting and portfolio management. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, holding numerous senior level, executive roles across the specialty finance landscape including Ares Management, Keltic Financial, Bank of America, Fleet Capital, Natwest Bank and Citibank.
Mr. Seigel, a co-founder of Veritas, has served as its chief financial officer since its inception. Since January 2015, he also has been responsible for its marketing team. Prior to Veritas, he was most recently a principal of BMD Management, a closely held private equity firm where he was responsible for evaluating and overseeing investments in the specialty finance and banking sectors.
