Crestmark President and COO Mick Goik announced the promotion of 18 individuals: Joseph Civitella, Jenna Comaty, Ryan Coughlin, Brandi N. Davie, Jennifer Dugan, Janeé Dyer, Carolyn Foote, Jayne Hannington, Zach McDonald, David Menoian, Laura Nardi, Kelly Neubecker, Bill Nowak, Patty Oakes, Katrina Richardson, Ana Rodriguez, Ronald Simons, and Kathy Swartz.

Joseph Civitella was promoted to vice president, account executive in Crestmark’s Trade Services Division, from assistant vice president, account executive. Civitella, who has been in the finance industry for more than 20 years, joined Crestmark in May of 2016 from Sterling National Bank’s Factoring & Trade Finance Division, where he was vice president. Previous positions include: vice president, factoring for DCD Capital, and assistant operations manager for National Equity Corp. Based in New York City, Civitella reports to Senior Vice President, Director of Trade Services Steve Turkish.
Jenna Comaty, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) specialist in the Risk Management Division, was named an officer of the company. Comaty joined Crestmark Bank in 2010 as a debtor analyst. In 2011, she was promoted to client analyst; and in 2015, she transitioned to the Risk Management Division. Previously, she worked at Genisys Credit Union as an operations support representative; and for Extra Credit Union as a marketing coordinator. Comaty has a B.A. in international global studies from Michigan State University, and a master of management in finance from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. She is based in Troy, and reports to Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Phillip Yanick.
Ryan Coughlin was promoted to assistant vice president, business intelligence analyst from financial analyst officer. Coughlin joined Crestmark in July 2010 as a debtor analyst, and was promoted to field examiner in 2011; then to financial analyst officer in 2013, and to business intelligence analyst in 2015. Coughlin has a bachelor of arts in economics from Kalamazoo College. He is based in Troy, and reports to Chief Financial Officer Jack Talkington.
Brandi N. Davie was promoted to assistant vice president, assistant manager, data services, from team leader in data services. Davie joined Crestmark as a payment analyst in 2013, and was promoted to debtor analyst in 2014. This was followed by a promotion to month-end analyst before being named a team leader and an officer of the bank. Before coming to Crestmark, Davie held positions with the University of Michigan Chemical Biology department and with the Michigan Student Assembly Airbus, among others. She has a bachelor of arts in women’s studies and a bachelor of arts in sociology –both from the University of Michigan. In 2016, Davie was honored for her commitment to helping victims of domestic violence with the 2016 Oakland County Domestic Violence Prevention Award from the Oakland County Coordinating Council Against Domestic Violence (OCCADV).
Jennifer Dugan was promoted to assistant vice president, junior account executive in the Transportation Division from junior account executive for the division. Dugan joined Crestmark in 2012 as an invoice analyst, and was promoted to client analyst in 2013; then in 2015, she was promoted to senior client analyst and team leader. In 2016, she transitioned to the Transportation Division as a junior account executive. Based in Nashville, she reports to Ray Zilke, first vice president, portfolio manager.
Janeé Dyer was promoted to assistant vice president, operations in the Southeast Region, from senior client analyst, team leader for the region. Dyer joined Crestmark in 2003 as a debtor analyst in operations for the East Region. She came to Crestmark from Del Monte in Dallas, Texas, where she worked in accounts receivable. Dyer has a degree in financial services from the University of Phoenix. Based at Crestmark’s offices in Boynton Beach, Florida, Dyer reports to Doug Kollman, first vice president, operations manager, client services.
Carolyn Foote has been promoted to operations officer, senior client analyst, team leader for the Transportation Division, from senior client analyst, team leader for the division. Foote, who works in asset-based lending, has more than 13 years of experience in transportation finance. She came to Crestmark in 2011 from Comdata. Based in Franklin, Tennessee, Foote reports to Doug Kollman, first vice president, operations manager, client services.
Jayne Hannington was promoted to contract negotiator, officer, from contract administrator at Crestmark Equipment Finance (CEF), located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Hannington came to Crestmark with the company’s 2014 acquisition of TIP Capital where she had worked since 2013. Previously, Hannington’s career included paralegal positions at Tower International, Energy Conversion Devices, and Collins & Aikman. She also worked for Ziebart International, where she was a license manager. Hannington is a graduate of the legal assisting program at Eastern Michigan University, where she earned a B.S. She is based in Bloomfield Hills, and reports to Stacey Farmer, vice president, operations vice president at CEF.
Zach McDonald was promoted to assistant vice president, sales analyst from sales analyst, officer. McDonald joined Crestmark in 2012 as a field examiner. In 2014, he was promoted to underwriting analyst for the SBA Division before being promoted to sales analyst officer. McDonald came to Crestmark from The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. McDonald has a bachelor of science in economics from the University of Michigan. He reports to Government Guaranteed Loan Division Senior Vice President, National Sales Director, Christopher Soupal, and is based at the company’s corporate offices in Troy.
David Menoian was promoted to assistant vice president, sales analyst team leader for the Government Guaranteed Loan Division, from sales analyst officer for the SBA Division. Menoian joined Crestmark in 2013 as a field examiner, and in 2015 he transitioned to the SBA Division as a sales analyst. In early 2016, he was named an officer of the company. Menoian has a bachelor’s degree in business and philosophy from Kalamazoo College. He reports to Government Guaranteed Loan Division Senior Vice President, National Sales Director, Christopher Soupal, and is based at the company’s corporate offices in Troy.
Laura Nardi was promoted to vice president, assistant controller, from vice president, senior accountant – financial reporting. Prior to joining Crestmark in 2015, Nardi worked for Ally Financial as senior accountant. She began her accounting career at Plante & Moran, where she was an assurance associate. Nardi has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oakland University’s School of Business Administration. Based in Troy, she reports to Keith Lidtke, first vice president, controller.
Kelly Neubecker was promoted to assistant vice president, senior contract negotiator, from contract negotiator for Crestmark Equipment Finance. Neubecker came to Crestmark with the company’s 2014 acquisition of TIP Capital where she was employed since 2007. Earlier in her career, she was an assistant general counsel with a real estate investment and management company. She has a bachelor’s degree in business/human resources management from Wayne State University, and a J.D. from Wayne State Law School. Neubecker is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Based in Bloomfield Hills, she reports to James Recker, executive vice president, general counsel of Crestmark Equipment Finance.
Bill Nowak was promoted to help desk manager, IT officer from help desk administrator, IT officer. He joined Crestmark in 2012 and was promoted to help desk team leader in 2015. He is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting IT-related systems at the bank’s offices nationwide, including hardware, applications, software, and servers. Nowak is based in Troy, and reports to Chief Technology Officer Don Kelly.
Patty Oakes was promoted to vice president, account executive for the Midwest Region from assistant vice president, account executive. In this role, she manages a client portfolio with factoring accounts, asset-based loans, and term loans. Oakes joined Crestmark in April 2007 as a client analyst. She came to Crestmark from J.P. Morgan Chase where she worked for nearly 20 years in various areas, including credit and underwriting. Oakes, who is active in Crestmark’s community outreach programs, volunteers for Gleaners Food Bank in Detroit, and helps with fundraising initiatives for the Susan G. Koman Foundation. She has a B.B.A. in finance from Walsh College. Oakes is based in Troy, and reports to Jeff Silverstein, first senior vice president, regional executive vice president and portfolio manager.
Katrina Richardson was promoted to assistant vice president, senior client analyst, team leader in the Transportation Division from client analyst supervisor. Richardson joined Crestmark in
2011 as a client analyst and was promoted to client analyst supervisor in 2013. Richardson has a B.S. in psychology from Tennessee State University. Based in Nashville, Richardson reports to Doug Kollman, first vice president, operations manager, client services.
Ana Rodriguez has been promoted to assistant manager, operations officer for the Transportation Division from assistant manager. Rodriguez joined Crestmark in February 2013 as a payment analyst, and was promoted later that year to debtor analyst. In 2014, she was promoted to client analyst, and to assistant manager, data services for the Transportation Division in the fall of 2016. Rodriguez has a B.B.A. in finance and economics from Middle Tennessee State University, and is earning an M.B.A. at King University. Based in Franklin, Tennessee, Rodriguez reports to Teri Haynes, first vice president, operations manager, data services.
Ronald Simons was promoted to assistant vice president, senior accountant for Crestmark Equipment Finance (CEF) from senior accountant, a position he held since joining CEF in 2014. Previously, Simons was a senior accountant at Edwards, Ellis, Stanley, Armstrong, Bowren, Krizan & Company. Active in community outreach, Simons volunteered for Crestmark’s Life Unplugged event to promote financial literacy among high school students, and he participated in the Hope Water Project Ride, where cyclists covered a 148-mile route across Michigan to raise money to build water wells in Africa. Simons is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a graduate of Walsh College. Based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Simons reports to Dave McCallum, controller.
Kathy Swartz was promoted to assistant vice president, executive assistant, from executive administrative assistant, officer, and reports to Crestmark founder, Chairman and CEO Dave Tull. Swartz joined Crestmark in 1996, just after the company was founded, and started out as administrator of Crestmark’s certificates of deposit. She works closely with Tull on governance, and with the company’s shareholders. Previously, Swartz worked for the Murfreesboro Housing Authority in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
