Tiger Group to Host Auction of Film Equipment for Schumacher Camera

By order of Steven A. Nerger, court-appointed receiver for Schumacher Camera, Tiger Group will conduct an online-only sale on May 25th of hundreds of professionally maintained film production cameras and related equipment from companies like ARRI, Canon, Optex, and Zeiss. This unique opportunity features high-end digital and film cameras, lenses, fluid heads, monitors and accessories.

Online bidding for the equipment will commence May 18 at www.SoldTiger.com. Bidding will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on May 25 at 10:30 a.m. (CT). All bidders are required to register prior to the sale at www.SoldTiger.com. Previews of the assets will be held on May 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CT), at 1147 West Ohio Street #102, Chicago.

“Startup and established film-making and broadcast companies, production and advertising professionals, videographers, as well as serious amateurs will be interested in this outstanding auction,” said Matthew J. DelGuidice, Senior Director ofTiger Group – Commercial & Industrial. “Participants will find an impressive and expansive offering of high-end, state-of-the-art equipment in this sale.”

Beginning in the early 1990s, Schumacher Camera was a Midwest leader in providing the television and movie industry with camera and equipment rentals, serving such productions as CSI-NY and The Dark Knight, in addition to numerous commercials for companies like GMC and Aquafina.

The offering includes digital and film cameras and accessories from such manufacturers as Sony, Red, Canon, ARRI, Aaton, and GoPro.

More than 100 lenses will be offered from manufacturers like Angeniuex, Canon, Cine Magic, Cooke, Nikkor, Zeiss and others, along with more than 500 filters, zoom lens controllers, motors, gears, extensions, and other ancillary equipment.
Weaver-Steadman Pan and tilt modules, ARRI and Cinema Products geared heads, and O’Connor & Sachtler fluid heads will also be up for bid, in addition to tripods, mounting plates, and other gear.

Also available are high definition field monitors from brands like Marshall, Panasonic, Sony & TV Logic; Pelican and other shipping cases, monitor cages, video transmitters and receivers, as well as light mounts, more than 100 batteries and chargers, power supplies, assorted cables, memory cards, and other accessories.
