Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced that Chuck Lowrey will re-join the firm as a Managing Director in the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice in Houston. Lowrey, a noted energy industry expert, was a founding member of A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement practice in 2009.
Lowrey brings 30 years of experience providing leadership to companies seeking a range of transformation services, from merger integration to liquidity and cash management. He serves private equity clients globally across a spectrum of industries including the upstream, midstream and energy services as well as the manufacturing and environmental sectors.
"As the energy sector continues to change and reinvent itself, Chuck’s return to A&M is opportune,” said Nick Alvarez, Managing Director and National Practice Leader of Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement group. “Chuck’s optimistic view of the industry along with his ability to navigate the inevitable bumps in the road, from liquidity issues to process and controls management, will help our private equity clients address their energy sector challenges.”
Previously, Lowrey was a Managing Director at BearingPoint, and prior to that, a Partner with the Business Consulting practice of Arthur Anderson in Houston.
“The energy industry plays a significant role in the country’s economy and its future growth,” said Lowrey. “It’s exciting to see private equity investments being made by both traditional energy-focused investors along with new PE fund entrants.”
Lowrey earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Houston Baptist University and an MBA from the University of Houston.
