Moody’s Analytics announced the launch of the Ki platform, designed for organizations in the global structured and asset-based funding market. Institutions that originate, service, or purchase loans, leases, or other types of receivables can use the platform to analyze data, select pools of loans, and track the performance of multiple funding vehicles.
“We are delighted to release our latest innovation to help banks, credit unions, and other financial companies overcome inefficiencies in the funding process for securitized and asset-based transactions,” said Marc Levine, Senior Director, Moody’s Analytics. “The Ki platform uniquely combines our extensive knowledge of the structured finance market with superior technologies to optimize funding decisions, mitigate risks, and reduce costs.”
The Ki platform’s domain-specific data analytics capabilities automate and provide controls for practices that are often performed manually, such as the preparation of funding information required internally and by third parties. It incorporates funding limits, covenants, and eligibility criteria for each potential source without programming. This functionality puts decision-making tools in the hands of business users, and diminishes the risk of error inherent in traditional spreadsheet processes.
The Ki platform is designed to complement existing systems and does not require organizations to replace their existing structured or asset-based funding systems. It supports securitization, warehouse funding, central bank pledging, covered bonds, and loan syndications.
In addition to the Ki platform, Moody’s Analytics provides issuers, investors, and other structured finance market participants with a full suite of solutions. The Moody’s Analytics Structured Finance suite includes ABS System, a leading issuance platform, and the Structured Finance Portal, which offers advanced cash flow analytics, benchmarking, credit modeling, and an extensive loan-level database.
