Hilltop Private Capital, a New York-based private equity firm investing in lower middle market companies, announced that Ed Moss has joined the firm as a Partner after 12 years as a Managing Director at Lincolnshire Management.
Moss opened a new Los Angeles office for Hilltop in April giving the firm a strong national presence. He is a member of the Hilltop investment committee and focuses primarily on investment sourcing and portfolio oversight.
Previously, Moss opened and headed Lincolnshire’s Los Angeles office where he focused on sourcing buyout opportunities in the West. Board seats included PADI International, National Pen and The Alaska Club. Moss began his career with Bank of America’s private equity group where he rose to Senior Vice President. Subsequently, he was a founding Managing Partner of Kline Hawkes growth equity and a founder of Alexander Dunham, a boutique investment bank. Current board and advisory positions include Del-Val Food Ingredients, Sadurni International Holdings and AgCap Partners. Moss earned his BA from Williams College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
“After working closely with Ed for over a decade at Lincolnshire, I know the high quality of his work and am delighted he chose to partner with us at Hilltop,” said Kate Lehman, Managing Partner. Drew Shea, Managing Partner, added, “Ed is an outstanding professional with a superb reputation. He brings valuable depth and great national presence to our firm.”
