BlackArch Partners Appoints Thompson as Managing Director

BlackArch Partners, a middle-market investment bank offering a full spectrum of advisory services, announceed that Charles Thompson has joined the firm as Managing Director and co-head of the firm's Diversified Industrials and Aerospace, Defense and Government Services industry practices. 

Thompson has more than 20 years of diverse professional experience in investment banking, public and private operating companies, and management consulting.  As an investment banker, Thompson led or participated in the sale of Presidential Airways, a global leader in expeditionary aviation services, American Furniture Manufacturing, a producer of upholstered sofas and chairs, Transtar Metals, a multi-location metals service center, EXTEX, a designer of aftermarket turbine engine parts, and CEF Industries, a manufacturer of actuation systems.

Thompson was most recently chief financial officer of Frontier Services Group Ltd., a publicly traded business based in Hong Kong with operations in Africa, Europe, and mainland China.  In that role, he oversaw all financial reporting to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors, and shareholders, in addition to his handling of various investor, treasury, human resource, and information technology responsibilities.  While with Frontier Services Group Ltd., Mr. Thompson also led the acquisition of businesses in southern Europe, Kenya, D.R. Congo, and South Africa.

Thompson was also a senior executive with Hawke Aerospace Holdings and a managing director with Edgeview Partners, where he served as co-head of the Aerospace and Defense practice group.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College and a Master's of Business Administration from Columbia University.
