SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (STRH), the corporate and investment bank of SunTrust Banks, Inc., announced it has hired Jeffrey Resnick and Jeffery Longmuir as managing director and director, respectively, in its High Yield Trading Group. Both will be based in New York City, and will report to Michael Smith, managing director and head of the High Yield Trading Group at STRH.

Resnick brings more than 25 years of industry experience, during which he held various leadership positions. He has well established client relationships, a track record of profitable growth and considerable experience trading various sectors in the high yield market. Longmuir has 14 years of industry experience as both a credit analyst and distressed trader. He has deep client relationships and a proven track record of profitably trading various distressed products.

Resnick joins STRH from RBC Capital Markets Corporation where he was a producing manager responsible for trading various sectors including: Energy, Healthcare, Gaming and Lodging, Aerospace & Defense, Autos and Auto-parts. Before joining RBC, he spent 13 years at Nationsbank and Bank of America where he traded Energy, Gaming, and Lodging sectors and achieved #1 market share in Gaming space.

Longmuir joins STRH from Barclays Capital Inc.’s Distressed Credit desk where he traded distressed corporate loans, bonds, equity, and credit default swaps across multiple sectors and industry groups. Prior to that Longmuir worked in Barclay Capital’s Portfolio Solutions Group where he managed leveraged portfolio transactions and structured financing on both Fixed Income and Equity products.
