Sidley Austin LLP announced that Steven Kolyer has joined the firm in New York as a partner in its Global Finance practice. Formerly a partner with Clifford Chance LLP, Kolyer has a leading practice in securitizations, with a particular emphasis in collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). His CLO practice includes both corporate loan CLOs and commercial real estate CLOs (CRE CLOs).

Kolyer has extensive experience representing issuers, managers and arrangers in corporate loan CLOs and in CRE CLOs, as well as in establishing debt investment funds and related financings.

His experience includes conventional securities offerings, commercial lending transactions, and private fund structurings and formations as well as credit-linked and other derivative transactions.
