Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Andrew Harris as a Managing Director in its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) Group, Co-Leader of the Commercial Excellence service line, helping private equity (PE) clients uncover growth opportunities. Mr. Harris’ hire accelerates A&M’s Commercial Excellence service line in support of optimizing revenue and operating efficiencies, and spotlights the firm’s ability to address PE’s evolving need for sustainable and comprehensive value creation pathways.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in commercial strategy and execution advisory, Mr. Harris helps clients reimagine commercial models to augment profitable growth. He advises on segmentation and targeting, value proposition development and messaging, customer and channel strategy, and sales and marketing optimization matters. With significant transaction, value creation, and transformation expertise, Mr. Harris has led initiatives across multiple industries, including industrial products and distribution, consumer goods and services, travel and hospitality, healthcare, and financial services, along with engagements across EMEA and Asia.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Harris was a Partner and Commercial Excellence Leader at EY-Parthenon and ZS Associates and served as an Associate Partner with The Cambridge Group. His notable delivery of revenue and EBITDA growth results include:
- Leading the commercial transformation of a declining $2 billion home services business, refreshing the value proposition, brand strategy, pricing model, and sales process, resulting in significant revenue and margin improvements.
- Developing a Proposal Factory for a $10 billion healthcare logistics business, improving customer-centric proposal responses and achieving a 10-point win rate increase in the Enterprise account segment.
- Driving the commercial integration of a $5 billion industrial manufacturer, optimizing routes-to-market, partner programs, sales models, and performance incentives, resulting in a 5-point top-line and bottom-line improvement.
- Building a revenue operations capability and establishing an orchestrated, omni-channel customer engagement model to drive customer acquisition for a $2 billion tech company.

Mr. Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
