EY announced the appointment of Jan Bellens as the new EY Global Banking & Capital Markets (BCM) Leader.
Bellens joined EY in 2013 from McKinsey & Company with extensive experience in driving growth opportunities for leading global banks across markets. He most recently served as EY Deputy Banking & Capital Markets Leader. Previously, he was the EY Asia-Pacific Banking & Capital Markets Leader and EY Global Banking & Capital Markets Emerging Markets Leader. Bellens spent the last 16 years in Asia, where he witnessed the growth and innovation of the banking world first-hand.
In his new role, Bellens will oversee all aspects of EY Banking & Capital Markets strategy, with the goal to further increase EY leadership in global banking and supporting clients with the challenges they are addressing day-to-day. One of his main purposes will be to help the banking industry in its goals to be considered as a trusted and responsible sector.
