Jeff Armstrong, who has an impressive record of commercial and private banking experience throughout the Tampa Bay area, has been named Senior Vice President of Valley Bank’s Pinellas County Commercial Banking Team.
Armstrong will lead commercial banking and lending for Valley Bank throughout Pinellas County. He will oversee a team of six relationship managers covering an extensive presence in the county, with seven branches.
Prior to joining Valley Bank, Armstrong served as Director of Acquisitions for Sembler Investments, after more than a decade as Market Director and Senior Vice President at The Bank of Tampa.
“I am very excited about Valley’s potential for growth in Pinellas,” Armstrong said. “We have a heavy focus on helping companies that are in the $10 to $50 million revenue range and are growing, and there is a wealth of these companies in Pinellas that Valley could help.”
As Senior Vice President at Valley, Armstrong will report to Al Rogers, who heads Valley’s Commercial Banking Division for Florida and Alabama.
“Jeff has a wealth of experience in banking and commercial lending, along with deep ties throughout the Tampa Bay area,” Rogers said. “We plan to continue growing our presence in Pinellas, and Jeff’s background and commitment to the Tampa Bay community is a perfect fit.”
Armstrong maintains deep ties to the community, serving on local boards such as The Salvation Army and The Children’s Home.
